About The Bluebell Railway
Looking for something completely different? We are about as different as you can get! Whether you decide to get married in our Birch Grove Suite, the intimate surroundings of ‘The Waiting Room’ or just have your reception on board ‘The Golden Arrow’, the prestigious 1920’s dining train the area breaths nostalgia and romance.
The Bluebell Railway was one of the first preserved heritage lines, commencing train services in August 1960. As a result, we have one of the finest collections of vintage steam locomotives and carriages in the country. Today we are able to recreate trains from the 1880s through to the 1960s. Our wedding ceremonies and receptions can be held at either Sheffield Park or Horsted Keynes stations, built in traditional “Queen Anne” style in 1882. They will be familiar to many, having been seen recently on television and in films, including Downton Abbey, The Muppet Movie and The Woman in Black.
