About Bath's Historic Venues
Recognised as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Bath is the only city in Britain to enjoy World Heritage Status. Bath’s Historic Venues are integral to the history of the city and include some of the country’s most iconic venues. When you hold your wedding or civil partnership with us, you are not only limited to using only one venue – you are able to combine different rooms so that you can sample the finest locations in our beautiful city. . .
Situated at its very heart, the Roman Baths provides a unique and stunning venue dating back 2,000 years. What could be more romantic than exchanging vows amid the flickering torchlight and rising steam from the waters of the Great Bath? Following your ceremony you can continue your celebrations in the impressive Georgian Pump Room above. The Grade 1 listed building, once the focal point of Georgian society still has the power to impress.
The Victoria Art Gallery makes an inspiring venue for a drinks reception prior to a wedding reception in the Pump Room. Alternatively why not exchange vows beneath your favourite painting followed by a sparkling Champagne reception for your guests.
With their original 18th century Whitefriars crystal chandeliers, high ceilings and portraits by Gainsborough and Ramsey the Grade 1 listed Assembly Rooms make a stylish and truly historical setting for a wedding or civil partnership.
