Freya Rose is an award-winning British shoe, bag and jewellery designer. Renowned for her artisanal approach to couture design, Freya’s philosophy is to create unique, timeless collections that incorporate her expertise in, and passion for fine jewellery.
Freya Rose is an advocate of slow-fashion and ethical trade; working alongside families, not factories and supporting the preservation of indigenous crafts are fundamental values to her business philosophy.
After receiving a 1st class honours Degree from the London College of Fashion, and spending some time working for other designers, Freya pursued her passion and established her eponymous label in 2010 with a loan from The Prince’s Trust. Freya Rose creates designer wedding shoes, occasion shoes and bridal jewellery that are sculptural, wearable works of art that transcend the boundaries of design, whilst reflecting the wearer’s individuality. Her collections have gained her international awards and she is fast becoming regarded as one of the UK’s leading shoe couturiers.
Freya in an advocate of slow fashion and believes in preserving indigenous craftsmanship and creating designs to treasure forever. “It has always been important to me to work with artisans that share my passion for working with traditional techniques passed down through generations. My Mother is a fine jewellery designer and step father a master goldsmith, I grew up observing them and their love and passion for design, beautiful materials and craftsmanship which all became part of my DNA ” – Freya Rose.
For over a decade, Freya has worked alongside the same family run business’ of incredibly skilled artisan jewellers and shoe courtiers who use traditional, mastered techniques to create her exquisite designs. The intricate craftsmanship behind Freya’s slow-production shoes, designer bridal jewellery and designer bridal bags can take hundreds of hours to handcraft; no two pieces are ever the same, each and every one is a unique wearable work of art!
Freya, just over a decade on from establishing her designer accessories label, is now an Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and supports their #womensupportingwomen campaign. Her global appeal is visible across stores, media and through some of the world’s most revered style icons from Kate Moss and Rihanna to Olivia Palermo selecting her designs.
