The 3am licence allows wedding guests to party into the early hours and the four different hireable spaces – across three decks – allow bridal couples to configure their wedding to suit them perfectly, whether that’s chill-out rooms for older guests, a wedding breakfast for a hundred or a first dance against the sun setting behind London’s skyline, The Yacht makes it all possible.
Of course vintage weddings aren’t the only way to make good use of The Yacht’s unique facilities. An afternoon tea wedding is a brilliant theme that really highlights this venue’s characteristics, and the catering team excel at creating the ambience of a 1930s celebration with finger sandwiches and dainty cakes, while catering ideas include making use of London’s wonderful local markets including the Billingsgate Fish Market, to design a seafood themed menu that draws upon the city’s vibrant food cultures.
The Yacht – wedding venue at a glance
To hire the yacht for exclusive use allows you to invite up to 250 guests to celebrate your wedding day with you. Alternatively, using the top deck only accommodates 100 guests for a seated ceremony (or 125 for a standing ceremony) and the restaurant as a stand-alone hire also takes 100 people. The stateroom lounge takes 30 seated guests, while the Art Deco cocktail lounge also seats 30 and is particularly popular for small weddings and/or second time around ceremonies.
