Situated on the north Essex border, by the river Stour, Le Talbooth is a stunning venue for your unforgettable day.

The Marquee on the upper terrace beside the River Stour offers a unique place to have your wedding reception; ideal for both small and large parties from 60 to 160. the marquee was especially designed for weddings and the gardens make a fabulous backdrop for the all important wedding photos.

We are pleased to announce that our River room here at Le Talbooth is now fully licensed, so for an exclusive feel to your day we can accommodate the ceremony first over in the restaurant overlooking our beautiful grounds and the picture perfect River Stour for up to 130 guests. This gives you and your guests exclusivity of the whole venue and grounds throughout the day until our restaurant re-opens for dinner. Alternatively if you are looking for just an intimate ceremony to start with then just a short drive away is the luxurious Maison Talbooth hotel. The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 50 and can accommodate overnight guests in the 12 stunning bedrooms. Maison Talbooth also boasts its own tennis court, heated outdoor pool and indulgent spa facilities.

Le Talbooth’s event team are on hand from your very first enquiry to the big day itself. The superb chefs have lovingly created the most spectacular range of menus for you to choose from. From formal dinners and canapés, to barbeques and buffets, whatever you choose will be served with drinks to complement the dish perfectly.
